Dear Friends of Freedom,
As Chair of the Cumberland County Republican Committee, I’m calling on you to stand with us at the Justice & Jazz event on July 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Orion Performing Arts Center in Topsham, Maine. This is more than an evening of inspiration - it’s a rally for free speech, fairness, and the protection of girls’ sports and spaces.
We’re honored to feature Representative Laurel Libby, a courageous leader who fought and won her battle against former House Speaker Ryan Fecteau to restore her voting and speaking rights in the Maine Legislature. Her victory is a triumph for free speech, but the fight isn’t over. Opponents have tried to silence us by attempting to cancel this event. We won’t back down, and we need YOU to show them that our voices will be heard.
Why Your Presence Matters:
Defend Free Speech: Attempts to cancel this event prove the urgency of protecting our right to speak freely. Laurel’s story shows what’s at stake when powerful forces try to silence dissent.
Protect Our Girls: We’re standing up for fairness in girls’ sports and safe spaces for women, ensuring their opportunities and privacy are preserved.
Support Our Community:Â Your attendance sends a message that Cumberland County Republicans and our allies are united, strong, and ready to lead.
How You Can Help:
Show Up:Â Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to fill the Orion Center with supporters.
Spread the Word: Share this invitation on social media, email, or by word of mouth. Let’s make this a turnout that can’t be ignored.
Stand Firm:Â Resistance only strengthens our resolve. Your presence is a powerful statement against those trying to shut us down.
This is our moment to celebrate Laurel Libby’s victory, defend free speech, and protect our daughters’ futures. Together, we can show the opposition that Cumberland County stands for freedom and fairness.
Join us on July 15th at 6:00 PM in Topsham!
With resolve,
Chuck Ellis
Chair, Cumberland County Republican Committee
