Maine House Passes 12-Week Paid Family Leave Proposal
Updated: Jun 25
The Maine House followed the Senate in passing the 12-week paid family leave proposal which has concerned small businesses and Republicans due to its costs, sweeping nature, and impact on small business operations.
You can read more about the paid leave proposal here in an article by the Bangor Daily News.
We encourage you to write to Janet Mills and let her know that the Maine taxpayer does not want to be forced into paying for another program that will continue to hurt our small businesses, only making Maine workers poorer. Other states have successfully adopted voluntary programs.
