The Republicans of the three cities of Portland, South Portland, Westbrook and the town of Falmouth will hold their Biennial Caucuses on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 11:00 am. The meeting will be held at the Portland Elks Club, at 1945 Congress Street in Portland, Maine. The caucus is the municipal party’s biennial meeting to elect delegates to the county committee, state convention and ratify the membership and bylaws of the group. It is also the rank and file’s opportunity to hear from and provide feedback on the party’s nominees for Governor, US Senate, Congress and legislative offices.

All enrolled Republicans from the four municipalities are welcome to participate. Others wishing to participate may register with the town/city clerks from 10:00 am to 11:00 am as a Republican before the meeting, if they are not already enrolled in another party.

All of the Republican U.S. Senate, U.S. Representative and Gubernatorial candidates have been invited to speak along with the other legislative candidates running in greater Portland.

The purpose of the caucus is to elect delegates and alternates to the state convention which will be held on Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th at the Augusta Civic Center, to elect members of the Cumberland County Republican Committee, and to organize the municipal committee for the upcoming elections.

The municipal committee’s mission is to recruit, train and promote Republican candidates for municipal, county and state offices. For more information contact the Committee Chairs:
