About The Event
With Maine’s Super Tuesday Presidential Primary behind us, we are writing to you today to provide some valuable information on the upcoming Maine GOP State Convention.
First, the Convention will be held April 26th and 27th at the Augusta Civic Center.
At the convention, delegates vote on the party platform, hear inspiring speeches from candidates up and down the ticket, elect national delegates and alternates and network with groups and individuals all working for the same causes.
How do you become a delegate?
If your town/city held a caucus, becoming a delegate is as simple as contacting your town’s delegation chair and asking to be added as a delegate. If your town has already filled their delegate slots, you may be able to attend as an alternate.
If your town/city has not yet held a caucus, there may be a chance for you to take a leadership role and hold a caucus before the deadline, establishing new local conservative leadership in your area!

If there is no Delegation Chair for your community, please email michelledale@mainegop.com – Michelle will put you in touch with a regional leader to see about your caucus.
Attending Convention:
To cover the cost of holding the convention, there is a delegate fee.
The fee is currently $40, but it rises after March 23rd and again after April 21st.

Meals are available at convention, many of them built around hearing from top speakers and on key topics. All delegates will receive information on meal prices and events in their delegate packets that will be emailed out.
Lodging
Maine is a big state! Knowing that many delegates live too far away to commute to and from on both days, we reserve blocks of rooms at local hotels. Again, hotel block information will be provided as part of the delegate packet.
